Cyathea australis - Rough Tree Fern

Position: Requires full or partial shade in a rich moist soil. Needs a very sheltered site or conservatory, cold greenhouse. Ideal in large containers placed in summer borders.

Care: Water thoroughly before planting. Plant to depth of original container. Water regularly in the first year to aid establishment. Trim back old fronds in Spring before new growth emerges.To survive the winter this plant must be kept in a frost free environment.

Height and Spread: 4 m x  4 m approx.
